  U.S. flags across the country will be lowered on Sunday, October 4, 2009 to recognize and commemorate these brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice, giving their lives while protecting their communities. On October 16, 2001, President George W. Bush approved legislation requiring the U.S. flag to be lowered to half-staff on all Federal buildings to memorialize fallen firefighters.

  After the sweat lodge incident of this past week, research by our staff indicates that since 2003, we have responded to two other calls to Angel Valley Resort, one in 2005 and another in 2008. In 2005 we responded and transported one patient only who may have been involved in a sweat lodge.
