Verde Valley Fire District responded to several calls over the weekend:
10/09/2009- At approximately 5:33 pm Captain Collingwood’s crew responded to an
unauthorized burn in the area of 5100 block of Comanche. Crews found a small unattended fire
ring, and extinguished the fire. Just a reminder to put all fires out cold to help prevent
the spread of wildfire.
10/9/2009-At approximately 10:07 pm, crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle
accident at 2143 Eastern Drive. Upon arrival, crews found a single vehicle roll-over, but no
patient in the vicinity. Scene was turned over to YCSO for investigation.
10/10/2009-At approximately 8 pm crews responded to a motor vehicle accident with
injuries at the top of the switchbacks in Cornville. Crews assessed and treated one patient
who then refused transport to the hospital. Scene was turned over to YCSO.
On October 11th at approximately 5:17 pm crews were called to assist Sedona Fire District with a
residential fire on Bell Rock Blvd.
